In May 2008 Adshel acquired Town and Park Furniture, one of the most highly respected and successful companies in Australia’s street furniture market. The acquisition has allowed Adshel to expand its current infrastructure offering to include the extensive range of products and services from Town and Park.

Town and Park offers two ranges of seats, benches, wheelchair accessible table settings and table seats: the City and Metro systems. The City system offers an elegant, robust and modern range of ancillary street furniture, while the contemporary styled Metro system identifies a robust vandal resistant furniture range.
These two systems represent the foundations of an extensive suite of urban furniture with complementary products including litterbins, drinking fountains, mobile bin enclosures, bollards, treeguards, lighting and banner assemblies.
sustainability approach
Town and Park has committed itself heavily to promoting the use of certified environmentally sustainable timber. It sources timber from Ecoforestry programs that ensure timber is obtained from forests and plantations managed to sustain their biodiversity, productivity and ecological integrity. The Ecoforestry programs also aim to minimise the impact upon other ecosystems and support and involve indigenous people living in the source area.
Ecotimbers currently sourced by Town and Park originate in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. These community ecoforestry projects are monitored to verify the ecotimber being produced meets world standards for forest management certification and chain of custody certification set by the Forest Stewardship Council.
